About Us

4Sciences Group Ltd is a UK-based business supporting Higher Education development and research excellence. 4Sciences Group was founded in 2020 by Silke Blohm.

Silke, a trained Physicist and Social Scientist, has been working in the field of research and innovation in both, a Higher Education and business environment for more than 25 years. Her work brings together longstanding experience in institutional development and governance of universities worldwide, as well as special expertise across the whole research lifecycle, detailed knowledge of Higher Education and its funding environment with vast international expertise and cultural sensitivity based on first-hand experience living and working in three continents as well as project based work across the globe.

Her work experience includes roles as Senior HE Advisor to the Rectorate of the Pan-African University, Director of Research & Enterprise for SOAS University of London and Managing Director of the Addis Ababa Institute of Technology in Ethiopia. She established and led the Office of Research Services at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, worked as Head of Research Grants and Contracts at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London as well as for Start-ups and the pharmaceutical industry. She worked on many consultancy projects worldwide for example in Malaysia, Mauritius or Germany.

Silke has founded 4Sciences Group to provide a vehicle that enables sustainable development and growth of organisations in Higher Education.
